Tech 100 Award by the Northern Virginia Technology Council

Siemens Government Technologies (SGT), Inc. – the federally-focused U.S. arm of technology powerhouse Siemens – is honored to announce that the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) has chosen SGT as a Tech 100 company for 2022.

The NVTC Tech 100 honors the most groundbreaking companies, leaders and innovators within the Greater Washington region’s technology community. “2022 has been a year of tremendous growth for our region’s technology hub, thanks to the dynamic companies and individuals who are innovating and making a positive impact in the world. Their contributions are the reason our region is one of the nation’s most vibrant and collaborative technology communities,” said Jennifer Taylor, president and CEO of NVTC. “NVTC congratulates Siemens Government Technologies for going above and beyond within their company and in their respective industries. Even in these unprecedented times of record levels of high-inflation and hybridwork, the future of our tech community is brighter than ever, because of the momentous contributions of these leaders and companies.”

“This award is testament to the incredible contributions our employees make in advancing the missions of our government customers each day,” said John Ustica, president and CEO, Siemens Government Technologies. “Through projects spanning energy resiliency and infrastructure modernization, to digital transformation initiatives powered by Siemens’ cutting-edge digital twin and Siemens Xcelerator., our employees are dedicated to our customers’ success across their national security missions.”

SGT has successfully tackled a broad array of technology challenges in 2022. This summer, SGT introduced the Siemens Defense Cloud, a Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) approved software-as-a-service application suite, with Siemens Teamcenter as the principal application. Given Teamcenter is the most trusted product lifecycle management software in use across the aerospace and defense industry today, the FedRAMP “Ready” designation is a major step forward for Cloud delivered Teamcenter solutions meeting the government’s most rigorous cyber-secure standards and protocols. SGT was also a key contributor to Siemens being named “World Changing Company of the Year” as part of Fast Company magazine’s “2022 World Changing Ideas Awards,” where the application of digital twins and advanced industrial software is enabling the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to evaluate smart design and manufacturing process improvements to reduce supply shortages and increase supply chain resilience in the life sciences industry.
