Our Pledge to Veterans

Supporting your next mission

At Siemens Government Technologies, a commitment to support those who’ve served us through service to country is foundational to the work we’re privileged to perform for our government customers each day. The principle of service before self is absolute for the men and women who have proudly served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Our shared vision of a world where each day is safer, more secure and more sustainable than the one before is fundamental to who we are. That’s why we are committed to hiring veterans.

Since 2010, Siemens has successfully recruited approximately 4,000 U.S. military veterans for various roles across the company. The leadership, adaptability, and problem-solving skills of military personnel and veterans is unrivaled in the workforce. Across our team, we recognize the value that veterans bring to the table and we’re proud to work alongside them each day.

Whether you’re a military veteran, a member of the federal reserve, or transitioning from active duty to civilian life, Siemens is ready to support your next mission.

Giving Back

Strengthening veteran and military communities

Giving back to veteran and military communities through financial and time commitments has been, and continues to be, a cornerstone of Siemens Government Technologies’ corporate culture. This is one way we demonstrate our ongoing dedication to those who serve, or who have served, our country.

Since 2010, we’ve donated significant resources to Hope For The Warriors®, a national nonprofit dedicated to restoring a sense of self, restoring the family unit, and restoring hope for our service members and our military families. In addition, many of our employees volunteer with the organization and participate in annual events, such as the Run for the Warriors®, an fundraising race, and A Warrior’s Wish®, a program that honors the goals and desires of wounded service members and their families.

Career Opportunities

Investing in training and education for veterans

As a veteran, you served to protect our nation’s liberties and freedoms. At Siemens, we want to serve you and help you protect your own future by providing you with robust training and valuable skills that you can use throughout your career. To date, more than 60% of veterans at Siemens work in STEM-related disciplines. We offer a range of training initiatives for U.S. military veterans that are focused on cultivating the competence and confidence needed to successfully navigate today’s evolving workforce.

PLM Veterans Initiative Program

USA Veterans Initiative Program

The Siemens USA Veterans Initiative Program provides free training to veterans of the US Armed Forces. With demand far outstripping the supply of qualified technology employees, enabling veterans in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) skills is critical to meeting private sector workforce needs and the needs of veterans retuning to civilian life.

To aid veterans returning to the workforce, Veterans in the Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment Program (VR&E) and Siemens have joined forces to offer Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Training courses at no cost to veterans. If you are unemployed or you are transitioning from active duty, it may be possible to attend courses on a space available basis.

Recruitment Resources

Matching veterans to meaningful professions

In 2016, Siemens made a commitment to hire at least 300 veterans every year. Now, with Google, we’re taking another step forward in our recruiting efforts by making sure veterans can find us. As an early adopter of the Google Cloud Talent Solution on our Careers website, Siemens enables job-seeking veterans to easily map their skills to our open positions.

Here’s how it works: When searching for opportunities on Siemens Careers website, veterans use United States military occupational specialty codes (MOS, AFSC, or NEC) to find jobs that best align with the skills they gained while serving. You can even provide military rank codes, such as “11A” for Infantry Officer” and “11B” for Infantryman, to narrow your search based on experience.

Google Cloud Talent Solution

With the Google Cloud Talent Solution job search feature, our jobs website now enables veterans to enter their MOS, ASFC, or NEC code to simplify their search process, translating their comprehensive technical training and military experience to civilian terminology.
