John Ustica

John Ustica is the Interim CEO of Siemens Government Technologies (SGT), Inc., the separate but affiliated U.S. government arm of technology powerhouse Siemens. With project teams across the U.S. and internationally, SGT is a cleared provider of Siemens products, technologies, and software to solve some of the most complex government challenges in energy, automation and digitalization.

Ustica joined SGT in 2018 as Chief Financial Officer and has led innovative financial strategies harnessing the technological breadth and depth of Siemens to solve complex government challenges in infrastructure modernization and digital transformation. From budget neutral financing to emerging software-as-a-service solutions, the company has expanded its addressable market under Ustica’s tenure and grown its customer base.

Prior to SGT, Ustica was the General Manager for Generator Products at Siemens Energy Facility in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he also led strategic product initiatives for the global generator manufacturing network. Earlier roles also included Plant Controller for Fort Payne Operations, and Plant Manager of the Siemens Energy Facility for Electrical Components in Fort Payne, Alabama, where he led a team involved in reducing lead times of core products by 20% and established an Apprenticeship Program in collaboration with the local community college.

From 2010 to 2012, Ustica served as the Director of Finance at Siemens Power Generation Heavy Plant Facility in Mulheim, Germany, leading the financial manufacturing, engineering, and development of new generator products.

Ustica has been recognized for his outstanding financial leadership in both the boardroom and community. In 2018, he was named to the “Top 40 Business Leaders Under 40” by the Charlotte Business Journal, and in 2021, he received WashingtonExec’s Chief Officer Award for Public Company CFO for his innovation, expertise and thought leadership within the government contracting space. He serves on the board of directors for Tri-Tool Inc., and the Northern Virginia Technology Council.

Ustica holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Rollins College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Central Florida.
