SGT History Makers | Allison Fox

Allison Fox

When Allison Fox joined Siemens Government Technologies four years ago as an HR Generalist, she was looking for an opportunity to take on greater ownership and make a more direct impact.

After spending a meaningful six years with Siemens Corporation, she was drawn to SGT's unique environment and the chance to lead HR operations in a way that would allow her to drive improvements across the organization. What she found was exactly that. At SGT, Allison quickly discovered a culture where ideas are welcomed, and employees are empowered to make decisions. "I feel my voice has a greater impact at SGT," she says. "The ability to fully own HR operations and help drive improvements has been incredibly rewarding."

Since joining the company, one achievement stands above the rest: the implementation of SGT's learning and performance management system. Allison played a key role from the earliest stages of the initiative, helping select the platform and guide implementation through the rollout of its various modules. The project spanned approximately 18 months and remains one of her proudest accomplishments.

For Allison, the success of the project reflects more than a technology implementation. It represents SGT's commitment to investing in its people and providing employees with tools that support their growth and development. By helping establish a modern platform for learning and performance management, she contributed to an initiative that will benefit the organization for years to come.

While her work often happens behind the scenes, Allison understands the important role strong HR operations play in supporting the broader mission. Her focus is on creating efficient, streamlined processes that enable employees to spend less time navigating administrative tasks and more time focused on serving customers and delivering results.

"My work operates largely behind the scenes, but it's essential to advancing our people strategy and helping employees focus their time where it matters most."

A major influence throughout Allison's journey has been her manager, Rebecca Hannahs. She credits Rebecca with helping her better understand the business, navigate the company's culture, and develop confidence in her own leadership and decision-making abilities.

The collaborative culture at SGT has also played an important role in her development. Colleagues across the organization have embraced new ideas, shared their expertise, and consistently supported both Allison and the broader People & Organization team. That openness has helped create an environment where continuous improvement is encouraged and new perspectives are valued.

"I'm not the same professional I was four years ago," she reflects. "The opportunities I've had at SGT have challenged me in ways that helped me grow, and I'm grateful for that."

As SGT continues to evolve, Allison is energized by the progress she has already witnessed and the opportunities that lie ahead. Through the Grow, Transform, Operate strategic framework, she has seen firsthand how the organization embraces change and continuously improves the way it operates.

"I'm genuinely excited about the direction we're heading," she says. "The changes we've made over the last few years show what's possible when people work together toward a common goal, and I'm excited to see everything we can accomplish in the years ahead."
